Color Wheels & Imagined Creatures Over the course of two weeks, these young artists learned about the color wheel. They identified the PRIMARY and SECONDARY and created their own color wheels using oil pastels to mix their colors. The following week, the kids put that previous knowledge into action using tempera paint as their new medium to mix their colors. They created creatures that were a combination of two animals or something out of their very active imaginations.
