Landscape Drawing Continuing with the idea of "near and far", the students looked at the landscape paintings of Grant Wood. In doing so, the kids noticed that things like trees and farms were smaller when far away and larger when closer. This lesson was a response to that discussion. We started by drawing three hills. From there, we drew in trees and farms that gradually got smaller as the scene looked further away. The kids did a wonderful job!!
